eMotion Fleet Inc. ( “eMotion Fleet”), a provider of one-stop services for commercial EV deployment, has successfully completed integration testing between its EV Fleet and Energy Management System (“FMS/EMS”) and EV chargers provided by Shindengen Electric Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (“Shindengen”).
The integration test was conducted using the international standard communication protocol “OCPP (Open Charge Point Protocol) 2.0.1” to verify the connection between Shindengen’s chargers and eMotion Fleet’s FMS/EMS. As a result, the two systems were confirmed to operate seamlessly. This enables fleet managers to remotely monitor and control Shindengen chargers via the FMS/EMS, retrieve and analyze real-time charging data, and implement optimized charging management tailored to operational schedules.
Shindengen offers not only standard fast chargers but also a unique lineup of “invisible” normal chargers designed with aesthetics and flexible installation in mind. These compact units are smaller than typical wheel stops and can be mounted on various surfaces, including the ground, walls, and ceilings. By eliminating user-facing control panels, the design achieves both space efficiency and convenience. When used in combination with the dedicated “GX1” communication relay device, multiple chargers can be centrally managed.
eMotion Fleet’s FMS/EMS solution supports seamless management of all vehicle types—EVs and ICE—across different manufacturers and models on a single platform. It provides real-time visualization of vehicle operations, charging status, fuel/energy efficiency, battery health, and CO2 emissions, enabling intuitive performance tracking for each vehicle.
With the successful integration of Shindengen’s chargers, the FMS/EMS now supports even more flexible system configurations across a wide range of vehicles and charging hardware. eMotion Fleet will continue to enhance its solutions to meet field-level needs, accelerating the adoption of commercial EVs while supporting both decarbonization and cost-efficiency.
