eMotion Fleet Inc. (“eMotion Fleet”), a one-stop EV fleet solution provider, has launched its EV Fleet and Energy management system service for Iyotetsu Bus Co., Ltd. (hereinafter "IYOTETSU”) and Shikoku Electric Power CO.,Inc.,  (hereinafter "YONDEN"). The system supports efficient charging and fleet operation     for electric buses.

Since August 2024, IYOTETSU and YONDEN have been conducting a demonstration project under the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism’s “Co-Creation MaaS Demonstration Project,” aimed at optimizing EV bus charging and operations.

eMotion Fleet participated in this project as a partner company, developing its ”EV Fleet & Energy Management System(FMS/EMS)" that enables optimal charging control based on depot-wide power demand and bus operation schedules.

The system developed by eMotion Fleet visualizes real-time driving and charging data of operating EV buses, while simultaneously monitoring the overall power usage at depots. By centrally controlling multiple vehicles and chargers, it enables peak power reduction, lowers basic electricity costs, and streamlines charging operations. This system automatically responds to fluctuations in actual operating conditions, significantly reducing the workload on fleet managers while ensuring optimal vehicle operation and always charging.

This approach helps reduce peak power demand, lower contracted power costs, and streamline charging operations, achieving both carbon neutrality and fleet economics. The service has now been launched at four depots, managing a total of 21 electric buses operated by IYOTETSU.

Through its integrated solutions that combine EV fleet operation management and energy optimization, eMotion Fleet will continue to pursue both carbon neutrality and fleet economics, contributing to sustainable mobility in the public transport and logistics sectors as well as the effective utilization of regional energy infrastructure.
